Last October, I discovered you don’t have to fly to Vermont for beautiful fall foliage. Oregon is spectacular that time of year. Great weather and gorgeous colors, especially on the eastern side. A friend from Mill Valley had moved to Bend to be closer to her kids in 2015. I drove there to see how it worked out.
When I arrived, I discovered she had moved from her private home to one of the most beautiful continuing care retirement communities I’ve seen.
As you will learn from her story, the first stage of her move was planned. The second stage involved an unforeseen change in plans. But having her family close by made it better for everyone.
