Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORCs) are places where groups of seniors have lived within a specific geographic area for many years. NORCs can be found in a cluster of high rises in a big city or a group of homes in suburbia. Many communities have developed supportive programs to provide social and health care services. They share one goal — maximizing the health and well-being of these neighbors so they can comfortably remain in their homes as they age.
